This month we market to make the most of the holidays!
Marketing Tip
The holiday season is the best time of year to sell gift certificates! We don't have to tell you that men rarely know what to buy their significant others for the holidays.
How To
During this month you can either send a direct-mail piece to the male-half of your female client list, or, you can schedule an open house for an evening in early December that will be "men only," where they can come in from say 7:00pm - 9:30pm to choose products or purchase gift certificates.
Consider having lovely invitations printed. If you cannot do a direct mail piece (because you don't have the appropriate addresses) you can hand the invitation to your female clients as they are leaving their appointments in November and December and simply tell them it is a special invitation for the man in their life.
It's guaranteed they will pass along the invitation - they'll be ensuring that they get at least one present that they like and will use!
Note: You should also include on the invitation a note that allows the gentleman to call to order gift certificates if he is unable to attend the open-house - you don't want to put all your eggs in the open-house basket!
Cost
A bit of cost will be involved in this marketing technique in order to have the lovely invitations printed. You ought to be able to get a few hundred printed for under $100. And if you don't mail them - you won't incur the cost of postage.
